I think it is time to increase Zene's food portions, looks like she was hungry and ate my leather shoe ;)
All kidding aside, Zene is in Week 5-6 of her pregnancy. Some things to expect his week are:
- Start to increase the dams food ration (wink, wink!).
- Don't overfeed, excessive weight gain should be avoided.
- The foetuses are now and are fully developed miniature dogs.
- The Dams abdomen starts to get larger.
Zene is eating almost 2 2/3 cups of Holistic Select Grain Free kibble and a few spoonfuls of I And Love You dehydrated raw dog food (the name is funny, but the food is excellent!) or cottage cheese, a sardine or other healthy table scrap (veggies, meat, pasta, rice).
I am also exploring using a RAW diet (http://rawfeddogs.org/rawguide.html) for Zene and the litter. In the past I have fed Stella and Chewies Raw Frozen Patties and LOVE the results, nice muscle tone, shiny coats, etc.
