Well it was bound to happen . . .
Around 7:30AM this morning I watched Zene chase a baby bunny into the bushes and WHOMP, she grabbed ahold of it. I heard a small "squeak" and I asked (well actually I yelled) for her to "leave it". Thankfully she let go, and the bunny disappeared into the lavender bush.
I really hope it will be ok, and chances are it will be fine, as Zene has a soft mouth (from bird-work training). Needless to say, this was not how I envisioned starting out my morning (especially since I had not even had a cup of coffee!).

Sharing the story with other Vizsla owners, I was told their dogs often eat small bunnies. Hence the perils of owning a hunting dog.
